With the thread to the left of the guide, place the spool holder back into place. Make sure there is at least 6 inches of extra thread coming out of the spool. Gently turn the hand wheel towards you. Watch as the needle passes under the stitch plate and the thread is picked up and wrapped around the bobbin holder. It should sweep the bobbin thread and wrap it back over the stitch plate.
